Ashes Tour 2005
The Ashes Tour 2005 was the tour of the Australian national cricket team in England which included the 63rd edition of the Ashes and was held between June 13 and September 12, 2005. The Ashes Series 2005 itself was played in the form of five test matches between England and Australia. The tour, which was part of the international cricket season 2005 , included a series of other games between the two teams in addition to the test series. The Test series was won by England 2–1 and the Twenty20 series with 1–0, while Australia won the ODI series with 2–1.

Both teams previously played a three-nation tournament . The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in the 2002/03 season in Australia .
