The tour of the Indian national cricket team to England in the 2004 season took place from September 1st to 5th, 2004. The international cricket tour was part of the 2004 international cricket season and included three ODIs . England won the series 2–1.
prehistory
England previously played a tour against the West Indies , India a three-nation tournament in the Netherlands . The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in England in the 2002 season . The tour served to prepare for the 2004 ICC Champions Trophy , which was then held in England.
