West Indies cricket team in England in the 2017 season

The West Indies cricket team's tour to England for the 2017 season took place from August 17 to September 29, 2017. The international cricket tour was part of the 2017 international cricket season and included three tests , five ODIs and one Twenty20 . England won the Test series 2–1 and the ODI series 4–0, while the West Indies won the Twenty20 series 1–0.

prehistory

England previously played a tour against South Africa , the West Indies against India . The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in the 2016/17 season in the West Indies . In October 2016 it was announced that the first test in Birmingham will be the first day / night test to be held in England.

The West Indies collapse on day three was the third largest loss after West Indies runs to England and the West Indies sixth largest in any test match. It was also the first time the West Indies lost 19 wickets in one day. Stuart Broad has now scored more wickets for England than Ian Boltham , making him the English team's second most successful test bowler of all time after his team-mate James Anderson .
