Sri Lankan national cricket team in England in the 2011 season
The Sri Lankan national cricket team tour to England in the 2011 season ran from May 26th to July 9th, 2011. The international cricket tour was part of the 2011 international cricket season and included three tests , five ODIs and one Twenty20 . England won the Test series 1–0 and the ODI series 3–2, while Sri Lanka won the Twenty20 series with 1–0.
prehistory
It was the first tour of the season for both teams. The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in Sri Lanka in the 2007/08 season .
