Australian national cricket team in Sri Lanka in the 2011 season
The Australian national cricket team's tour to Sri Lanka in the 2011 season took place from August 6 to September 20, 2011. The international cricket tour was part of the 2011 international cricket season and included three tests , five ODIs and two Twenty20s . Australia won the Test series 1–0 and the ODI series 3–2, while Sri Lanka won the Twenty20 series with 2–0.
prehistory
Sri Lanka previously completed a three-nation tournament in Scotland , Australia a tour in Bangladesh . The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in the 2010/11 season in Australia .
