Indian national cricket team in England in the 2011 season
The Indian national cricket team's tour to England in the 2011 season took place from July 21 to September 16, 2011. The international cricket tour was part of the 2011 international cricket season and included four tests , five ODIs and one Twenty20 . England won the Test Series 4-0, the ODI Series 3-0 and the Twenty20 Series 1-0.
prehistory
England previously played a tour against Sri Lanka , India in the West Indies . The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in the 2008/09 season in India .

Indian bowler Praveen Kumar was fined for arguing with the referee. After Ian Bell lost his wicket due to a controversial run-out, the appeal of the Indian team was withdrawn by captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni during the tea break that followed.
