English national cricket team in India in the 2005/06 season

The tour of the England cricket team to India in the 2005/06 season took place from March 1 to April 15, 2006. The international cricket tour was part of the 2005/06 international cricket season and included three tests and seven ODIs . India won the ODI series 5–1, while the test series 1–1 ended in a draw.

prehistory

India previously played a tour in Pakistan , as did England . Both teams lost their test series, while India won at least the ODI series. The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in the 2004 season in England .
