English national cricket team in New Zealand for the 2017/18 season

The England national cricket team's tour to New Zealand in the 2017/18 season took place from February 25 to April 3, 2018. The international cricket tour was part of the 2017/18 international cricket season and included two tests and five ODIs . England won the ODI series 3–2, New Zealand won the Test series 1–0.

prehistory

Both teams previously competed in a three-nation tournament together with Australia in Australia and New Zealand. While England were eliminated in the preliminary round, New Zealand was only defeated in the final against Australia. In the direct encounter, both teams could each win a game. The last meeting on a tour between the two teams took place in England in the 2015 season .
