The tour of the Australian national cricket team to New Zealand in the 1981/82 season took place from February 13 to March 22, 1982. The international cricket tour was part of the 1981/82 international cricket season and included three tests and three ODIs . Australia won the ODI series 2–1, while the test series 1–1 ended in a draw.

prehistory

Australia previously played a tour against the West Indies , for New Zealand it was the first tour of the season. The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in the 1980/81 season in Australia .
