The game series of the Australian national cricket team against Pakistan in the season 2009 took place from April 22 to May 7, 2009 in the United Arab Emirates . The international cricket tour was part of the 2009 international cricket season and included five ODIs and one Twenty20 . Australia won the ODI series 3-2 while Pakistan won the Twenty20.

prehistory

Australia was initially scheduled to tour Pakistan in March 2008, but this was canceled due to security concerns. After the attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team in Lahore on their tour in Pakistan , this was the first tour that Pakistan did. Australia previously did a tour in South Africa .

Pakistan was fined for playing too slowly. After the Pakistani bowler Saeed Ajmal was absent as a result of technical warnings, the Pakistani federation fined him within the team.
