from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The tour of the West Indies cricket team against Pakistan in the 2008/09 season took place from November 12 to 16, 2008 in the United Arab Emirates . The international cricket tour was part of the 2008-09 international cricket season and included three ODIs . Pakistan won the series 3-0.

prehistory

Pakistan previously played a four-nation tournament in Canada , for the West Indies it was the first tour of the season. The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in Pakistan in the 2006/07 season . After several tours in Pakistan were canceled for security reasons this year (against Australia , South Africa , New Zealand ), this home tour of Pakistan was relocated to the United Arab Emirates on neutral ground. As a consequence of the failures, Pakistan had little match experience. Originally it was also planned to hold two tests , but they were canceled due to scheduling problems at the West Indies.
