The tour of the West Indies cricket team to Australia in the 1979/80 season took place from December 1, 1979 to January 30, 1980. The international cricket tour was part of the 1979/80 international cricket season and included three tests . The West Indies won the Test Series 2-0.

Both teams played alongside England in a three-nation tournament . The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in the 1977/78 season in the West Indies .
