West Indies cricket team in South Africa in the 2014-15 season
The West Indies cricket team's tour to South Africa in the 2014/15 season took place from December 10, 2014 to January 28, 2015. The international cricket tour was part of the 2014/15 international cricket season and included three test matches , three Twenty20s and five ODIs . South Africa won the Test Series 2-0 and the ODI Series 4-1 while losing the Twenty20 Series 1-2.
With their victory in the test series, South Africa rose to number 1 in the ICC's test cricket world rankings . The West Indies set a world record in the second Twenty20 when they trailed 231 runs in the first half of the inning and eventually won the game. In the second ODI, AB de Villiers set two world records when he achieved a fifty in 2.4 overs and a century later in 2.3 overs . South Africa scored 439 runs in the game, the highest number of runs in an ODI for South Africa.

South Africa previously played a tour in Australia . The West Indies played a home tour against India , which had to be canceled due to strikes by the players. The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in the 2010 season in the West Indies and was clearly dominated by South Africa.
