English national cricket team in South Africa for the 2004/05 season

The tour of the English national cricket team to South Africa in the 2004/05 season took place from December 17, 2004 to February 13, 2005. The international cricket tour was part of the 2004/05 international cricket season and included five tests and seven ODIs . England won the Test series 2–1, South Africa the ODI series 4–1.

prehistory

South Africa previously played a tour in India , England in Zimbabwe . The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in the 2003 season in England .
