The tour of the English national cricket team to Australia in the 1979/80 season took place from November 21, 1979 to February 6, 1980. The international cricket tour was part of the 1979/80 international cricket season and included three tests . Australia won the series 3–0.

Australia previously played a tour in India , for England it was the first tour of the season. The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in the 1978/79 season in Australia .
