The tour of the Indian national cricket team to Australia in the 1991/92 season took place from November 29, 1991 to February 5, 1992. The international cricket tour was part of the 1991/92 international cricket season and comprised five tests . Australia won the series 4–0.
prehistory
India previously played a tour against South Africa , for Australia it was the first tour of the season. Between tests of this tour, both teams played a three-nation tournament together with the West Indies team . The tour was part of the direct preparation of both teams for the 1992 Cricket World Cup, which was held in Australia and New Zealand . As a result, the Indian team was in Australia for almost four months at a time. The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in the 1986/87 season in India .
