Indian national cricket team in Australia in the 2015/16 season
The series of games of the Indian national cricket team in Australia in the 2015/16 season took place from 9 to 31 January 2016. The international cricket tour was part of the 2015/16 international cricket season and includes five ODIs and three Twenty20s . The ODI series was won by Australia 4-1 while India won the Twenty20 series 3-0.
prehistory
Australia previously played a tour against the West Indies . India last played against South Africa and should then complete a tour against India. However, since the Indian government did not agree to a tour against Pakistan outside India and Pakistan insisted on its home right or on a neutral venue, this did not come about. This tour serves as preparation for the ICC World Twenty20 2016 and is the continuation of the tour in the previous year , where only test games were held.
