The tour of the South African national cricket team to Australia in the 1952/53 season took place from December 5, 1952 to February 12, 1953. The international cricket tour was part of the 1952/53 international cricket season and comprised five tests . The series ended in a 2–2 draw.

It was the first tour of the season for both teams. The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in South Africa in the 1949/50 season .
