South African national cricket team in Sri Lanka in the 2018 season
The tour of the South African national cricket team to Sri Lanka in the 2018 season took place from July 12 to August 14, 2018. The international cricket tour was part of the 2018 international cricket season and included two tests , five One-Day Internationals and one Twenty20 . South Africa won the ODI series 3-2 while Sri Lanka won the Test and T20I series 2-0 and 1-0.
prehistory
Sri Lanka previously played a tour in the West Indies , for South Africa it is the first tour of the season. The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in South Africa in the 2016/17 season .
