Asia Cup 2018

The Asia Cup 2018 was the 14th edition of the cricket competition for Asian national teams and was held on September 15 and 28, 2018 in the United Arab Emirates in ODI format. In the final, India beat Bangladesh with 3 wickets and won the tournament for the seventh time.

Attendees

The participants were the five Asian nations with test status and one other participant who was determined in a qualifying tournament .

format

In a group stage, each team initially played against each other. The winner of a game received two points, and a tie or no result received one point. The two group winners and runners-up moved into the Super Four round. There each team played again against each other and the group first and second played in a final of the tournament winner.

Venues of the Asia Cup

The following two stadiums in the United Arab Emirates have been selected for the tournament. The tournament was originally supposed to take place in India, but was then postponed due to the problems between India and Pakistan.
