Zimbabwean national cricket team in Sri Lanka in the 2017 season
The Zimbabwean national cricket team's tour to Sri Lanka in the 2017 season took place from June 30th to July 18th, 2017. The international cricket tour is part of the 2017 international cricket season and included a test and five ODIs . Sri Lanka won the test series 1–0, Zimbabwe won the ODI series 3–2.
prehistory
Sri Lanka previously competed in the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy and Zimbabwe a tour in Scotland . The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in the 2008/09 season in Zimbabwe , the last time they met in Sri Lanka in the 2001/02 season .

Zimbabwe's series win was only the third away series win against a full member of the ICC and the first since 2001 . As a consequence, the Sri Lankan captain Angelo Mathews resigned from his post.
