The Zimbabwean cricket team's tour to South Africa in the 2017/18 season took place from December 26th to 29th, 2017. The international cricket tour was part of the 2017/18 international cricket season and included a test that was the first test ever to be scheduled for just four days. South Africa won the test series 1–0.

prehistory

South Africa previously played a tour against Bangladesh and Zimbabwe against West Indies . The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in Zimbabwe in the 2014 season . After the International Cricket Council decided to allow tests scheduled for four days, this test is the first to take place. For this purpose, the number of overs that is completed daily is increased from 90 to 98.
