Irish national cricket team against Afghanistan in the 2017-18 season
The game series of the Irish Cricket Team to Afghanistan in the season 2017/18 took place from 5 to 10 December 2017 the UAE instead. The international cricket tour was part of the 2017/18 international cricket season and included three ODIs . Ireland won the series 2–1.
prehistory
Both teams previously played a game in the ICC Intercontinental Cup 2015-2017 , Ireland against Scotland and Afghanistan against the United Arab Emirates . The games played also served as warm-up games for the 2018 ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier , which is due to take place in Zimbabwe in March 2018. The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in India in the 2016/17 season .
