Ashes Tour 2019

The Ashes tour in 2019 was the tour of the Australian Cricket Team , the 71st staging of the Ashes included, and was carried out between 1 August and 15 September of 2019. The Ashes Series 2019 itself was played in the form of five test matches between England and Australia. The venues were in each case English stadiums and other games were played during the 2019 international cricket season during the tour. The series ended in a 2–2 draw, but Australia secured the Ashes as defending champions.

prehistory

Both teams previously contested the 2019 Cricket World Cup , which was held in England from May to July. The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in the 2017/18 season in Australia . These were the first tests that were held as part of the ICC World Test Championship 2019-2021 .
