Australian national cricket team in the West Indies for the 2008 season
The tour of the Australian Cricket Team for West Indies in the 2008 season took place from May 16 to July 6 of 2008. The international cricket tour was part of the 2008 international cricket season and included three test matches , one Twenty20 and five ODIs . Australia won the Test series 2-0 and the ODI series 5-0, while the West Indies won the Twenty20.
prehistory
It was the first tour of the season for both teams. The last tour of the two teams against each other took place in the 2005/06 season in Australia . Part of the tour was the first Twenty20 International to be held in the West Indies. A topic before the tour was the newly founded Indian Premier League , the period of which overlapped with the tour and threatened to prevent players from participating in the tour.
