from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The tour of the Bangladeshi national cricket team to the West Indies in the 2014 season took place from August 20 to September 17, 2014. The international cricket tour was part of the 2014 international cricket season . It comprised three ODIs , a Twenty20 and two test matches . The West Indies won the ODI series 3-0 and the test series 2-0, while the Twenty20 had to be abandoned due to rain.

prehistory

For the West Indies it was the second home tour of the season after losing the Test series against New Zealand and the Twenty20 series had ended in a draw. Bangladesh previously held a home tour against India in which the ODI series was lost. The last meeting of the two teams took place at the ICC World Twenty20 2014 in the Super 10 round, in which the West Indies clearly won and then made it to the semi-finals. Right before the tour, West Indian coach Ottis Gibson resigned from his position.
