The tour of the Indian national cricket team to the West Indies in the 1996/97 season took place from March 6 to May 3, 1997. The international cricket tour was part of the 1996/97 international cricket season and included five tests and four ODIs . The West Indies won Test Series 1–0 and ODI Series 3–1.

The West Indies previously played a tour in Australia , India a tour in Zimbabwe . The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in India in the 1994/95 season .
