Pakistani national cricket team in the West Indies for the 2016-17 season

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The tour of the Pakistani national cricket team to the West Indies in the 2016/17 season took place from March 26 to May 14, 2017. The international cricket tour was part of the 2016/17 international cricket season and included three tests , three ODIs and four Twenty20s . Pakistan won the Twenty20 series 3–1 and the Test and ODI series 2–1 each.

prehistory

The West Indies previously contested a tour against England , Pakistan in Australia . The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in the same season in the United Arab Emirates , in which Pakistan won the ODI and Twenty20 series with 3–0 and the Test series with 2–1. Originally only two Twenty20 were planned for the tour, but the West Indian Association was considering playing two more games in Florida . However, since there were doubts whether the Pakistani team would receive visas for the United States , the games were played in the Caribbean.
