Pakistani national cricket team in New Zealand in the 2016/17 season

The tour of the Pakistani national cricket team to New Zealand in the 2016/17 season took place from November 17 to 21, 2016. The international cricket tour was part of the 2016/17 international cricket season and included two tests . New Zealand won the series 2–0.

prehistory

New Zealand previously played a tour in India , Pakistan against the West Indies . The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in New Zealand in the 2015/16 season . On November 14th there was an earthquake off the South Island of New Zealand, but the tour was able to start as planned.

Pakistan was fined for playing too slowly and captain Misbah-ul-Haq was suspended for the following game.
