The tour of the South African national cricket team to New Zealand in the 2011/12 season took place from February 17 to March 27, 2012. The international cricket tour was part of the 2011/12 international cricket season and included three tests , three ODIs and three Twenty20s . South Africa won the Test Series 1–0, the ODI Series 3–0 and the Twenty20 Series 2–1.

prehistory

New Zealand last played a tour against Zimbabwe , South Africa against Sri Lanka . The last tour of the two teams against each other took place in the 2005/06 season in South Africa .
