Khamanon (or Khamano ; Panjabi ਖਮਾਣੋਂ ) is a city in the Indian state of Punjab .
Khamanon is located in the north of the Fatehgarh Sahib district - 22 km north-northwest of the district capital Sirhind-Fatehgarh Sahib . The city is located on the national highway NH 95 ( Ludhiana - Chandigarh ), on which the cities of Samrala (15 km west) and Morinda (14 km east) are located. Khamanon is connected to these two cities by a rail link.
The city was established in 1997 when the villages of Khamanon Kalan , Khamanon Khurd and Khamanon Kamli were combined to form Nagar Panchayat Khamanon. At the 2011 census, the population of Khamanon was 10,135. 10 years earlier the population was 8,842.
Khamanon is the administrative seat of the eponymous Tehsils and Blocks . The two administrative units extend over an agricultural region.
