The tour of the South African Cricket Team to England in the 1998 season was held from 21 May to 10 August 1998th The international cricket tour was part of the 1998 international cricket season and included five tests and three ODIs . England won the test series 2–1, while South Africa won the ODI series 2–1.

It was the first tour of the season for both teams. The last meeting of the two teams against each other took place in the 1995/96 season in South Africa .
