South African national cricket team in Zimbabwe in the 2007 season

The tour of the South African national cricket team to Zimbabwe in the 2007 season took place from 22 to 26 August 2007. The international cricket tour was part of the 2007 international cricket season and included three ODIs . South Africa won the series 3–0.

prehistory

For Zimbabwe it was the first tour of the season after the 2007 Cricket World Cup , South Africa previously played a tournament in Ireland . The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in the 2004/05 season in South Africa . A tour against Australia was originally planned for Zimbabwe , but the Australian government under John Howard wanted to avoid a propaganda coup for Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe and forbade him to leave the country.
