After Australia refused to tour Zimbabwe in April 2002 following the re-election of Robert Mugabe , an investigation led to Australia making the trip this time. Australian player Stuart MacGill declared that he was not available for the tour due to moral reasons. However, other players who also considered this step started the tour.
