Ashes Tour 1953

The 1953 Ashes Tour was the tour of the Australian national cricket team , which included the 38th edition of the Ashes , and was held between June 11 and August 19, 1953. The international cricket tour was part of the 1953 international cricket season and included five test matches . England won the series 1–0.

It was the first tour of the season for both teams. The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in the 1950/51 season in Australia .
