Ashes Tour 1961

The Ashes Tour 1961 was the tour of the Australian national cricket team that included the 42nd edition of the Ashes , and was held between June 8 and August 22, 1961. The international cricket tour was part of the 1961 international cricket season and included five test matches . Australia won the series 2–1.

It was the first tour of the season for both teams. The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in the 1958/59 season in Australia .
