Indian national cricket team in England in the 2014 season

The Indian national cricket team's tour to England in the 2014 season took place from June 22nd to September 7th, 2014. The international cricket tour took place as part of the 2014 international cricket season . It comprised five test matches , five ODIs and one Twenty20 . England won the Test series 3-1 and the Twenty20, while India won the ODI series 3-1. The tests carried out on the tours were games as part of the ICC Test Championship , the ODI part of the ICC ODI Championship and the Twenty20 games part of the ICC T20I Championship .

Heading

This tour was India's first tour to England since 1959, in which five Tests were played. The quick sequence of tests without having to play tour matches in between was also remarkable. The third test was the first test in England, which started on a Sunday.

On the second day of the first test, the Indian team accused English bowler James Anderson of pushing Indian player Ravindra Jadeja in the locker room. England, however, accused Jadeja of complicity in the situation that had arisen. Jadeja was initially fined, but was found innocent along with Anderson days later. The pitch was rated as "poor" by the umpires , which resulted in a warning from the international association ICC.
