Afghan national cricket team in Zimbabwe in the 2014 season
The tour of the Afghan national cricket team to Zimbabwe in the 2014 season took place from July 13 to August 5, 2014. The international cricket tour was part of the 2014 international cricket season . It consisted of a four-game ODI series that ended 2-2. In addition, Afghanistan played two List A games and two first class games against the Zimbabwe national team.
prehistory
Originally, Afghanistan was supposed to travel to Zimbabwe in January 2014 for a tour, but this was canceled due to financial problems of the Zimbabwean Association. It is the first bilateral tour of Afghanistan that was agreed in the course of qualifying for the 2015 Cricket World Cup . Since Afghanistan, as an Associate Member of the International Cricket Council, is not allowed to carry out any tests , two 4-day first-class games were agreed instead.
