Bangladeshi national cricket team in Zimbabwe in the 2011 season
The tour of the Bangladeshi national cricket team to Zimbabwe in the 2011 season took place from 4th to 21st August 2011. The international cricket tour was part of the 2011 international cricket season and included a test match and five ODIs . Zimbabwe won the ODI series 3-2 and the test match.
prehistory
The tour was confirmed by Zimbabwe on March 24, 2011. Zimbabwe withdrew from Test Cricket in 2006 due to organizational problems and had not taken a test since then. The test on this tour was the first test in Zimbabwe since the tour of India in 2005 . Bangladesh had also not taken a test for a year. Since both teams were the worst test teams to be classified, they carried out several tours against each other in order to collect match practice, most recently in December in Bangladesh .
