ICC World Cricket League Division Seven 2011

The ICC World Cricket League Division Seven 2011 was the second edition of this one-day cricket competition and took place between May 1 and 8, 2011 in Botswana . The competition was part of the ICC World Cricket League 2009-14 . In the final, Kuwait beat Nigeria with 72 runs.

Attendees

A total of six teams took part in the tournament. The two relegated members of the ICC World Cricket League Division Six 2009 qualified :

  • Botswana Botswana
  • Norway Norway

From the tournament of the seventh division of the World Cricket League in 2009 :

  • Japan Japan
  • Nigeria Nigeria

At the tournament of the eighth division of the World Cricket League in 2010 :

  • Kuwait Kuwait

format

In a group stage, each team played against each other. The winner of a game received two points, and a tie or no result received one point. The two best in the group rose to the ICC World Cricket League Division Six 2011 and contested a final. The third and fourth placed remain in Division Seven and played in the ICC World Cricket League Division Seven 2013 . The fifth and sixth placed were relegated to Division Eight and participated in the ICC World Cricket League Division Eight 2012 .
