ICC World Cricket League Division Seven 2009

The ICC World Cricket League Division Seven 2009 was the first edition of this one-day cricket competition and took place between May 17th and 24th, 2009 in Guernsey . The competition was part of the ICC World Cricket League 2009-14 . In the final, Bahrain prevailed against Guernsey with three wickets and rose to the ICC World Cricket League Division Six 2009 in Singapore .

A total of six teams took part in the tournament. One of them qualified in the ICC World Cricket League Division Five 2008 :

format

In a group stage, each team played against each other. The winner of a game received two points, and a tie or no result received one point. The two best in the group rose to the ICC World Cricket League Division Six 2009 and contested a final. The third and fourth placed remain in Division Seven and play in the ICC World Cricket League Division Seven 2011 . The fifth and sixth placed were relegated to Division Eight and participated in the ICC World Cricket League Division Eight 2010 .
