ICC World Cricket League Division Five 2008
The ICC World Cricket League Division Five 2008 was the first edition of this one-day cricket competition and took place between May 23 and 31, 2008 in Jersey . The competition was part of the ICC World Cricket League 2007-09 . In the final, Afghanistan beat Jersey with 2 wickets and both qualified for the ICC World Cricket League Division Four 2008 .

format
In two groups of six teams, each team played against each other. The winner of a game received two points, and a tie or no result received one point. The top two from each group qualified for the semi-finals. The two finalists qualified for the ICC World Cricket League Division Four 2008 . The third and fourth placed remain in Division Five and participated in the 2010 ICC World Cricket League Division Five . The remaining eight teams in places 5 to 12 are relegated in competitions at regional level.
