South African national cricket team in Zimbabwe in the 2014 season
The tour of the South African national cricket team to Zimbabwe in the 2014 season took place from 9 to 21 August 2014. The international cricket tour was part of the 2014 international cricket season . It comprised a test match and three ODIs . The test and all three ODIs were won by South Africa.
prehistory
For Zimbabwe, the tour followed a financial crisis in the association, which led to player strikes and the suspension of the domestic league. The last test game on home soil in September 2013 against Pakistan was won. Previously, both teams played at the ICC World Twenty20 2014 , with South Africa moving into the semi-finals, while Zimbabwe failed in the preliminary round.
