The tour of the South African national cricket team to New Zealand in the 1998/99 season took place from February 14 to March 22, 1999. The international cricket tour was part of the 1998/99 international cricket season and included six ODIs . South Africa won the series 3–2.

New Zealand previously played a tour against India , South Africa a tour against the West Indies . The last meeting of the two teams took place in the 1994/95 season in New Zealand .
