The tour of the Pakistani national cricket team to New Zealand in the 1988/89 season took place from February 3 to March 14, 1989. The international cricket tour was part of the 1988/89 international cricket season and included two tests and four ODIs . New Zealand won the ODI series 3–1, while the Test series 0–0 ended in a draw.

New Zealand previously played a tour in India , Pakistan a three-nation tournament in Australia . The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in the 1984/85 season in New Zealand .
