The West Indies cricket team's tour to Australia in the 1988/89 season took place from November 18 to February 7, 1988. The international cricket tour was part of the 1988/89 international cricket season and comprised five tests . The West Indies won the series 3–1.

The West Indies previously played in a three-nation tournament in the United Arab Emirates , for Australia it was the first tour of the season. The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in the 1984/85 season in Australia .
