West Indies cricket team in Sri Lanka in the 2010-11 season
The West Indies cricket team's tour to Sri Lanka in the 2010/11 season took place from November 15, 2010 to February 6, 2011. The international cricket tour was part of the 2010/11 international cricket season and included three tests and three ODIs . The West Indies won the ODI Series 2-0, while the Test Series 0-0 ended in a draw.
prehistory
Sri Lanka previously did a tour in Australia , for the West Indies it was the first tour of the season. The last meeting of the two teams against each other on a tour took place in the 2007/08 season in the West Indies . Originally, an ODI series with five games was to be played directly after the test series. However, since the weather was characterized by a lot of rain and the test series was already severely affected by it, it was decided shortly before the first ODI to hold the series with only three games in January 2011. The ODIs also had to be played in a stadium, which was not used for the 2011 Cricket World Cup .
