The tour of the Zimbabwean national cricket team to Sri Lanka in the 1996 season took place from 11 to 21 September 1996. The international cricket tour was part of the 1996 international cricket season and included two test matches . Sri Lanka won both tests.

Both teams previously participated in the 1996 Singer World Series . The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in the 1994/95 season in Zimbabwe .
