The tour of the Indian national cricket team to Sri Lanka in the 1993 season took place from July 17 to August 14, 1993. The international cricket tour was part of the 1993 international cricket season and included three test matches and three ODIs . India won the Test series 1–0 while Sri Lanka won the ODI series 2–1.

prehistory

It was the first tour of the season for both teams. Both teams previously met at the Cricket World Cup in Australia and New Zealand . The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in India in the 1990/91 season .
