The tour of the Indian national cricket team to the West Indies in the 1952/53 season took place from January 21 to April 4, 1953. The international cricket tour was part of the 1952/53 international cricket season and comprised five tests . The West Indies won the series 1–0.

prehistory

India previously played a tour against Pakistan , for the West Indies it was the first tour of the season. The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in India in the 1948/49 season . It was India's first tour in the West Indies.
